A pretty pointless study that should bore the majority of the R & F, as said its just to lead into the next article. Good points about the anointed verses 'other sheep' , how do they try to apply things to this invented group of people thery have? Why was it so easy to go along with the two class system? I saw there was only the anointed mentioned in the Bible but i allowed myself to continue to going along with the false intepretation for far too long.

did the watchtower societys view of sex make sense?wait until marriagethis is typically the acceptable practice among jehovahs witnesses.

there can be an argument about the watchtowers proposal for the use of chaperons.

however, admittedly it seems impractical and resisted in modern western civilization.

I think that there was far too much emphasis placed on sex, its talked about so frequently and sometimes a little graphic for meetings of worship in my view. I think all it did was make it more desirable, because of the constant attention the subject got.

One To Get Them Thinking...

besty and i told my best friend last night we had decided to stop going to the meetings (mainly due to exhaustion/heart not in it/few organsiational issues in the news had bothered us etc, etc).

she was disappointed but felt that we should do what's right for us - she would only have a problem with us if we went down the 'apostate route'!

further into the brief discussion we had besty asked her a classic "how would you know if jehovah's spirit had been withdrawn from the organisation" - she thought about it for a moment and concluded that zero growth would possible be a sign - we didn't have the heart to tell her that taking into account the drop out rate/population growth that that is precisely where the borg is right now!!

unfortunately i have burned most of my bridges when it comes to asking such a well reasoned question, my ministry (for want of a better word) is to talk about the dubs to people whom i've met since that time. There is one person that I regularly talk to who is well in, but its hard going, but maybe its an idea, of course they love to put spin on things, if their numbers grow its God speeding it up, if its slow it means the end is real near

JWD support and comfort for those in need

i don't know how you feel but i am pleased to be part of a community that cares about fellow members.

although we may not know individuals in person, we get a "sense" of many of our fellow posters especially if we have been here for any length of time.. several of our fellow posters have experienced terrible tragedies that result in financial nightmares.

i don't know how all of you feel, but i would rather give directly to someone in need than through a charity.

I have personally felt and witnessed the help and support of the JWD community and I for one am extremely grateful for that, i think its really good to think along those lines restrangled. A great deal of the help given here is emotional support and experience, but to support financially is a great idea also.

Seeking forgiveness from those who shun you

what i'm wondering is if you have hurt people by your actions and they happen to be jw's and your now disfellowshipped, and therefore they shun you, is there really anyway to say your sorry (other than submit to the congregation elders, and eventually (maybe) be reinstated).. this is kinda the situation i'm in.

i have done things that have hurt people, one's i see in connection with my family.

i want to be and say i'm sorry and regret things i have done, and yet it was never leaving the witnesses that i'm sorry for, rather my own actions that got me df.

Mmm some interesting points have been made, thank you. I had thought about writing to a few individuals, i'll think it through and consider what I might say to them. I dont intend to use it as a platform to in anyway justify myself or have a pop at their beliefs.

Days that Go From Bad to Downright Embarassing

so far this monday has been one nightmare after another.. it began with discovering that overnight my computer has wiped my harddrive - everything gone - photos, msn conversations, university assignments, diaries, letters, work docs, movies, videos, unmentionables.

i feel like i have been erased!

These days that we all get have a habit of getting better i've found. As for under wire bra problems, I can still hear a wire in my washing machine from a few years ago, so far its not damaged anything....and no its wasnt one of mine!

Because the majority are not christians - they are merely the companions of the annointed. Therefore acording to Pauls words in Romans they are still under law and are subject to sin because of that. In reality its a man made rulle designed to bind up and burden the r & f in order to maintain their loyalty to the Borg.
